Explaining the Axis of Evil in relation to petrodollars. This ties in with what Lindsay Williams says and what John Perkins says about how the world works.
Warning, some quick flying language. The guy is pretty good with the accents, though.

Good one! Explains it very well, all with humor. John Perkins, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man. Supposed to be a really good book. I haven't read it but heard him speak a number of times. He speaks from experience. BTW, I remember back in early 2000's when all this was going down. I knew someone was going to pay and pay big time.
ReplyDeleteI've got some Perkins elsewhere on the blog. It's all coming to a head, but few people realize what is going on.
DeleteThis isn't taught in our history classes, is it?
ReplyDeletePolitical Science, maybe but upper division classes.
DeleteCertainly not taught in economics classes or business classes that is for sure.
Hardy, har, har. That has to be a joke. I don't know what they learn in history class, most don't even know the basics: Revolution, Civil War, etc, much less the finer points of petrodollar oil trading.
DeleteActually, I learned about petrodollar oil trading when I was a freshman in college in political science class. None of this is taught in high school. I was talking about college. I also learned that the military industrial complex was making billions off our tax dollars by pumping up the threat from the Soviets when in fact most of the threat was fiction. While Republicans like to claim that Ronnie Reagan was the reason why the Soviet Union came to an end, the truth is that the Soviet Union was coming apart and to an end during the time of Leonid Brezhnev when the country was facing serious economic stagnation and problems. Then again at that time, the College Republicans called us commies when in fact we were just studying the facts while they followed the party line and didn't question anything. You're right, they didn't know U.S history either. They'd rather believe the mythology of it all.
