Although the women of the United States are confined within the narrow circle of domestic life, and their situation is, in some respects, one of extreme dependence, I have nowhere seen woman occupying a loftier position; and if I were asked... in which I have spoken of so many important things done by Americans, to what the singular prosperity and growing strength of that people ought mainly to be attributed, I should reply, To the superiority of their women.

The Country Thinker Live!

Here is Ted's first video making some excellent points about the reality of our situation. I didn't expect the democrat party to be so open to the libertarian way, but Ted says its true. Case in point, the Tennessee Democrat candidate for Senate, Mark Clayton is MORE constitutional than Bob Corker the Democrat. Ted also explains why people of integrity have a hard time taking over the major parties because they have been designed that way by the bosses. I really love the diagram!

Michael Nystrom, the maestro of the Daily Paul has this breakdown of factions in the Ron Paul camp:

  • The No One But Paul! faction. Two subsets:
    • "Ron Paul can still actually win!"
    • "I can't bring myself to vote for anyone else"
  • The Vote Gary Johnson faction. Also two subsets:
    • GJ can actually win!
    • "Let's send a message to the GOP!"
  • The I'm not voting for nobody faction. "Voting is a scam, and I refuse to be anyone's monkey."
  • The Vote Romney faction. "Because Ron Paul told us to stay in the GOP."
  • The Vote Obama faction. "Let's really punish the GOP!"
The whole breaking bones in Louisiana, arresting delegates in Missouri, the rampant election fraud that occurred all over the USA would seem to be coming back down on the Romney as it should.

Some of us don't have the Stockholm Syndrome necessary to vote for Romney. I had battered conservative syndrome for a long time, but after watching John McCain not take on Obama's Marxist background in 2008, I broke free and am enjoying watching politics grounded in REALITY, not spin.

Libertarian Laughter

From the Dollar Vigilante, which has some pretty cool stuff if you have time.

Ain't it the truth!
I've been called a doper, an anarchist, etc. since pulling for my man Paul. Truth is, I've never drunk a beer or smoked a cigarette in my life. I think that a nation's laws should be grounded in God's law. I think that our troops are precious and should not be put in harm's way unless it is necessary for the defense of America as defined by the center of the North American continent, rich with natural resources. I think that if American troops are deployed, they should have finite objectives so the general public can follow along to ensure that those objectives are being met and our representatives can be held to account. I know, I'm just INSANE that way....

By the way, yesterday, I came across this little gem in Isaiah 29, right after the potter and the clay bit:

And the needy of mankind will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. 20 For the ruthless will come to an end and the scorner will be finished, Indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off; 21 Who cause a person to be indicted by a word, And ensnare him who adjudicates at the gate, And defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments.

This NASB version uses the word adjudicates, which paints a picture to me of these lobbyist goons who write up regulation on the fly to shut down some area of our economy to ensnare the average person who just wants to do their thing. And defraud with meaningless arguments. I love it! That's what 90% of what the newscycle consists of: the reporting of meaningless arguments. The Devil will do anything to keep people destracted while he builds his technocratically run society full of restrictions and regulations. Enjoy it while it lasts, Scratch, for Isaiah has a little prophecy about your doom:

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
 16They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

I know the title of this post is Libertarian Laughter, gee whiz, how did I get here? Well thinking on the Lucifer hanging out in sides of the pit makes me laugh -

Tom Woods vs. Mark Levin Debate

Forget the presidential debates, the real action is between historian Tom Woods (PhD Havard) and ex-lawyer Mark "the great one" Levin.

Revenge of the Nerds

Picture a high school cafeteria with your obligatory stereotypical groups sitting at their respective tables. Seated at one table, you have your idealistic do-gooders all bent on Saving the Planet and mindlessly believing whatever their state-approved textbooks say along with what their state-certified teachers tell them is truth. At another table, you've got a group that's wise to some of that --they listen to conservative talk radio and are ready to punch a hippie at the drop of a hat. They've been known to pull some pranks on their state-certified teacher for laughs. They will grow up to be fine Republican leaders in their communities. They'll be county Republican officials who'll brag how they brought jobs to their community with special tax breaks. They'll see no philosophical problem with federal mandates as long as their area gets some goodies that they can brag about. The latest copy of The American Spectator sits on the corner of the table atop a copy of Mark Levin's Libery and Tyranny. They're not just meatheads, even though they thoroughly enjoy their sports. They figure they're about as plugged in as it gets to what is going on as they comb back their All-American haircut and zip up their letterman jacket and start to head off to football practice.

Video: Ron Paul PWNS Bill Buckley

From the Campaign for Liberty site, a 22-year-old firing line episode featuring Libertarian candidate Ron Paul sparring will ex-CIA agent and Bilderberg attendee William Buckley. Let's just say the core issues have not changed at all.  Buckley gives Ron a hard time about his assertion that we don't need a CIA or FBI - you can tell it's a big deal to him. Congressman Paul asks the obvious questions about what happened to that limited government that Ronald Reagan promised. Yes, he cut taxes, but that's not helping us now, is it? I found this interview amusing because Ron Paul makes the hero of modern, mainstream conservatism look like a liberal - defending the IRS for petes sakes! I can't help but notice how Buckley dodges each general point that Paul makes with some specific incident and counters each specific incident with a generality.

Lies the Government Told You - Andrew Nepalitano Video

Here's a link to the first part of an interview between Andrew Nepalitano and Ralph Nader. It doesn't allow embedding, so you'll have to go there and then continue to watch each part, but it is well worth it. Judge N is consistent with the Constitution on all his views, which means he'll anger both the left and right. The scariest part came when he said we're only 2 -3 crises away from a police state. It also dovetails with the recent American Spectator article about our ruling class.
