One Soldier's Story -- Every Soldier's Nightmare: When orders conflict with the Oath of Allegiance.

The story of Army Spc. Michael New is a story that should inspire every American to take notice of the times and impending changes that are taking place in our political and economic climate; changes that threaten the very fabric of our American society.

Meet Michael New. In February of 1993, 20 year old Michael New enlisted in the United States Army and took an oath to defend the constitution of the United States. His Army Recruiter, in Conroe, Texas, never mentioned UN command, foreign officers, or wearing the UN uniform; instead he was told he was signing up for the US military.

Michael was and is just like every other young man with hopes and dreams of the future. He never dreamed at the young age of 23 his name would be mentioned in the halls of congress and all the way to the White House and Office of the President of the United States himself.

What happened that would make this shy young man the focus of news stories around the Nation and aboard? 21 August 1995 Michael is informed that his unit will be required to wear a blue UN helmet, or beret and a UN armband or patch. Michael was told the order to wear the UN uniform was lawful because,"The President says so, therefore it is." But nobody provided a legitimate, legal or rational basis for the order. Eventually, a battalion briefing about the deployment offered the justification that, "We wear the U.N. uniform because it looks fabulous."

10 October 1995, the day his unit was supposed to be in formation in the U.N. uniforms, Michael showed up in his regulation U.S. Army uniform." However, some 549 U.S. Army soldiers did show up in formation, wearing a United Nations emblem on their baby-blue caps and U.N. patches on their right shoulders! Michael was immediately removed from the parade ground, where he was informed that he would be facing a court-martial. He was read his rights. And this began the chain of events that continues sending shock waves around the country and the world.

Lest any of you forget State Department Memo 7727 from 1962,  the plan has been in motion for awhile.

Since that time Michael received a Bad Conduct Discharge (BCD) from the Military, in January 1996, and has begun a life as a private citizen. But that was not the end; it was only the beginning, as the case continues to this day. There have been briefs and counter briefs, appeals and appeals of the appeals. As the case slowly makes its way through the courts, Michael New will not back down. And he has the United States government in something of a quandary. If they let him off, then they'll have to let anyone off who refuses to serve the United Nations. If they hammer him, they have to admit in public that Americans are no longer free to serve their own country exclusively - an admission they do not want to make. No doubt, if he had it to do over again, Michael New would do the same thing. But the Army would also no doubt give him the transfer he requested in the first place.

American Exceptionalism Actually a Commie Talking Point

Where did the phrase, American Exceptionalism come from? Paul Mulshine at the NJ Ledger answers:

 Most politicians assume the term was coined by a Founding Father or some other traditional figure. In fact, it was coined by a communist. In 1927, a leader of the American Communist Party by the name of Jay Lovestone used the term "American exceptionalism" to describe the way in which our economic system differed from the systems in other countries.You’re probably wondering how a term coined by a commie could end up as an applause line for Republican presidential contenders. Well, you see, it’s linked to the way in which the American followers of Leon Trotsky gradually changed their views during the 1930s in opposition to Josef Stalin’s stance on … never mind. Suffice it to say that so-called "neo" conservatives also use terms like "benevolent global hegemon."

Jay Lovestone was also a CIA asset who had an FBI file thousands of pages long. His papers were filed at the Hoover Institution in 1975 and were sealed for 20 years. Nothing suspicious there. So sad to hear conservatives spouting the American Exceptionalism line, confusing nationalism with patriotism. They're being played by the most successful communists in history.

Veteran Takes on the Toe-Sucker

Brutal. That's what describes this post by Nick Allison, US Army (excuse the salty language):

Recently, Dick Morris made comments on Sean Hannity’s radio show stating that anyone who supports Ron Paul and his campaign is unpatriotic. There’s nothing quite like a couple of chickenhawks who never served their country sitting around defining patriotism. While I am not easily offended, I nonetheless found Mr. Morris’ statements to be slightly disturbing and seriously hypocritical.Ron Paul enjoys strong support among members of the military and veterans. He receives more campaign contributions from active duty troops than all of the other Republican candidates combined. Is Dick implying that we, the people who have actually fought in America’s wars, are somehow less patriotic than people such as himself simply because we disagree on foreign policy? His remarks have insulted thousands of military personnel and veterans.
The sad part is that Dick has no idea what he is talking about. He has no personal experience on which to base his opinion. You see, Mr. Morris was too much of a coward to put his own ass on the line by volunteering for the military during the Vietnam War. He was twenty years old in 1968- prime fighting age. Some other poor kid fought and died in his place. He should be ashamed of himself. Not for dodging service in Vietnam, mind you, but for espousing his current hawkish attitude toward foreign policy despite his reluctance to serve in his own war. You can talk the talk, Dick, but you never had the balls to walk the walk.
I would like to see him tell a veteran to his face, a soldier or marine- someone who was wounded in Afghanistan, who lost buddies in Iraq, who spent years of his life away from his family, who came home with mental as well a physical scars from fighting an immoral and unnecessary war with one hand tied behind his back with red-tape and bureaucratic bullshit- that he is somehow not a true patriot, simply because he supports Ron Paul for President.
I would like to make it clear that I don’t claim to speak for all veterans. I never have. But I do speak for a large and ever-growing number of us. We have fought your dirty little wars. We have killed for our country. Many of us have died. And we don’t all share the same views as Dick Morris. And, according to him, this alone makes us “unpatriotic.”
Even my brothers who don’t necessarily share all of my ideas wouldn’t take such an un-American stance as Mr. Morris has in calling anyone, including the members of the military who disagree with him, unpatriotic.
Dick Morris is a coward, a chickenhawk, a disgrace and a hypocrite. His name doesn’t even deserve to be mentioned next to the names of the brave men and women who have fought and died for this country, regardless of their political, moral or personal beliefs.
