Although the women of the United States are confined within the narrow circle of domestic life, and their situation is, in some respects, one of extreme dependence, I have nowhere seen woman occupying a loftier position; and if I were asked... in which I have spoken of so many important things done by Americans, to what the singular prosperity and growing strength of that people ought mainly to be attributed, I should reply, To the superiority of their women.

Schooled to be Stupid

Saw this gem at the Daily Paul, and just had to share it.

Check out Underground History and Deliberate Dumbing Down linked to your left for the complete documentation on how our schools were hijacked by humanist/socialists to transform our country into the socialist paradise it is today.

History: It's Your Birthright!

History Channel, eat your heart out. I've discovered the Ultimate History Lesson. This thing is five hours, but is superior to several years of traditional schooling and hours of History Channel viewing. You do know that the History Channel is owned by the following: A&E Television Networks(Hearst Corporation (42.5%),Disney-ABC Television Group(42.5%), NBCUniversal (15%)) Yes, that would be our SOPA loving friends the banksters.

Political Polls Are Shepherd Hooks for the Weak-Minded

Instead of really getting down to brass tacks, not only where the candidates stand on issues, but also on the reality of our collective situation -the poll trumps analytical thought. This is a bandwagon advertising technique designed to tap into the herd instinct to pick the winner. Doesn't matter if you wind up choosing between Hitler and Stalin, the most important thing is to pick a winner. Notice that the media, who we know is bought and paid for by the large corporations who got large via the Federal Reserve working in tandem with Congress in the Iron Triangle model of business, talks about polls, polls, polls. They don't talk about solutions, issues, or records, unless it is cherry-picked data that advances the agenda of their employers, who are interlocked in all this mess.

My Grandpa's English Book

Working in the garage this weekend, I came across a book entitled Literature and Life: Book Three published in 1936, revised from a 1929 edition. It is a book on American literature. Each section features literary selections from a period in American history. There is a little historical background introduction prior to the selections to set the stage for the reader. My grandpa is currently 89 years old and graduated high school in 1940. This book was published by Scott, Foresman and Co, which is still a huge public school textbook publisher.

So what? Well, remember that post awhile back about the Reece Committee? Do you remember what Attorney Kathryn Casey found when she was allowed to read the founding minutes of the Carnegie Foundation? What were their three objectives, can you remember without clicking the link? Ok, I'll go ahead and tell you:

It's Like Eating Peanuts

Charlotte Iserbyt, In Her Own Words by Kevin Gallagher and Scott Davis tells her life story and clues you into her experiences with collectivists. She started out working for the State Department in the 1950s, giving her a unique viewpoint on foreign policy. She tells us to be aware of "controlled conflict", how they use it to gain more power. But Charlotte spends most of her time talking about education and her experiences as a school board member and as a policy expert in Reagan's Department of Education, which she supports the abolishment of. She also goes on to discuss Skull and Bones, of which her father and grandfather were members. Lots of exciting commentary and explanation here, at least for those of us who are interested in how the world came to be in this death spiral. I can't listen to Charlotte without jotting down notes on the back of my bills - she says this stuff is like peanuts, you can't eat just one, and before you know it, you're hooked! I can testify to that.

Check these out if you want to get down to the nitty gritty. If you don't, go take a blue pill and go to bed.

Bailing Yourself Out

Over at Lew Rockwell, I found this wonderful article by the great Fred Reed. It's about disengaging yourself from the "evil system" which we explore together here. If I ever write a book, it will be a how-to on how we can take our money out of New York City and put it back into America (as opposed to the United State Government).
When a country works reasonably well – when the schools teach algebra and not governmentally mandated Appropriate Values, when the police are scarce and courteous, when government is remote and minds its business and works more for the benefit of the country than for looters and special interests, then pledging to it a degree of allegiance isn't foolish. Decades back America was such a country, imperfect as all countries are, but good enough to cherish.
So what to do, Fred highlights homeschooling:
Home schooling is an admirable form of disengagement for those who cannot physically expatriate. The primary schools once taught enough of reading and arithmetic, and little enough of medioccritizing propaganda, as to render them other than pernicious. Today, no. Here it is worth reflecting, contrary to governmental insistence, that schools are needless, at least for bright children. An intelligent child quickly reads several years ahead of his grade level, at which point school becomes only an obstacle. He will be savagely bored, regard his teachers as imbeciles, and learn nothing that justifies his being there but much that justifies being somewhere else. In the deepening twilight, home-schooling becomes almost a responsibility, a parallel to medieval monks copying Greek manuscripts.
I would argue that all children are bright and that school does nothing put crush the spirit of all children. There are many kids out there who are not going to fit the molded ideal of corporate fodder, wherein the school system is crafted around a certain kind of personality. Even if a child is not academically inclined, there natural skill might me manual and there is no outlet for it in the public school system. Fred dittos his sentiment for higher education:
Disengagement from the system of universities, or as I should say, “universities,” is also advisable. This is true, first, because if you seek cultivation, to gain a grasp of such matters as history, literature, the arts and the sciences, you can do it better on your own. Professors serve little purpose other than to ensure that the student does his homework. If the student wants to study, he can do it by himself, and if he doesn't want to study, he has no business in a university.
Second, universities these days, with exceptions I hope, are citadels of intellectual darkness. They teach little, and chiefly serve to force the young to borrow backbreaking sums from colluding banks. The wasted time and phenomenal cost cannot be justified unless they provide some remarkable recompense, and they do not.
Universities largely prepare the student for a life of office work in some dismal institution, trapping him in the retirement system and making him a prisoner of the state. In a nation subsiding into the third world, institutions cannot be counted on.
It's not a big deal I can't afford to send my kids to college, it's just a big scam anyway. Fred goes on to disparage the consumerist mindset and encourages us to minimize and simplify. If you make a game of it, it can be fun. For instance, while I have five kids, I only seek to acquire new clothes for my oldest boy and girl. I do get them new underwear and socks for Christmas, as needed. Finally Fred finishes with this:
Again, circumstances differ and details vary. The principle remains: Disengage, cut your expenses, seek the interstices, and don't believe in anything unless you are sure it was your idea to believe in it. What is coming looks to be ugly. If so, it will be every man for himself, his family, his friends, and what principles he believes. The government doesn’t give a wan, eitolated damn about you.
Good advice for everyone; I know I need to get it together.

Happy Mother's Day!

Gotta do a Mother's Day post with this blog entitled, The republican Mother and all.

12For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
--Isaiah 66:12-13

This is one of my favorite "mother" scriptures that illustrates not only God's relationship toward Israel, but the ideal behavior of a mother and child. Notice that the mother is always present, holding the child at her side, bouncing him on her knee, and the nursing babe being satisfied.

I'll never forget being at a local park back when I just had two kids. A little girl about 9 years old had ridden her bike from some condos next door and was attracted to my baby girl.  She asked where my older girl went to school, and I said that she went to preschool a couple of days a week. Then she asked, but where does she go after that. I replied, "she goes home with me." The little girl looked down and said 'oh', real sad. It really hurt me that going home with your mom or having a mother available to you wouldn't have entered her mind. You have to be going to somewhere all of the time.

God's plan for raising mentally healthy persons is for someone to be there with them, pretty much all the time.  (Deut 6.) For those of you who think you would be nuts if you were around your kids all the time, that's the first sign you're going off the tracks. You see, a properly domesticated child is not a butt-wipe to be around. In fact, the older my kids get, the more helpful and mature they become. They're modeling their behavior after me, not a bunch of kids in a "lord of the flies" situation. We have arguments and all that fun stuff, but I can say that I can take all my kids to a restaurant by myself and not be embarrassed.

So when people ask me "what I do", I reply, I help preserve Western Civilization by raising children who can write cursive, know their multiplication tables, can diagram a sentence, question authority, fear God, are immune to peer pressure, etc. Not necessarily in that order, but you know what I mean. I could probably be making a lot of money sitting in some office somewhere, but in the long run, having children who have discernment and wisdom of the Word will pay far more than any salary you can imagine.

Legacy - Home Discipleship

I've been a bad blogger lately, the kind that doesn't post anything. I've been getting it into high gear at home to prepare for our newest addition. I thought I'd share this great sermon/talk by Pastor Voddie Baucham whose book, Family Driven Faith, contains principles that can be applied by everyone.

Here he explains Biblical discipleship of children and how that doesn't equate to an hour of Sunday School a week. The numbers show how that isn't getting it. Think about it, we're taking the principles of the world, regimented schooling, which is oh so successful in teaching the three Rs and applying it in less quantity to kids who don't hear His name spoken at home hardly ever. When Sunday School first began, Christians actually criticized it because they said if Christian parents ever depended on it for discipleship training, they would cease studying the Word at home. Boy, I'm glad they weren't right about that, huh? The original purpose of Sunday School was to teach literacy children working in the factories with no time or money for formal school or literate parents. How sad so few people read the Bible today as the drive for literacy was originally to give everyone the opportunity to search the Scriptures for themselves.

In Honor of Protesting Teachers,

Here's a fun little video that touches on some subjects discussed on this blog. At the very end you will see a quote from a NEA report from the 1970s detailing how they plan to experiment on kids with drugs. It was in the 90s that the whole ADD/Ritalin push began. Seriously, your kids are better off at home just reading the encyclopedia and playing video games than going to school. Schools are penalizing kids for fighting back against bullies. Why? It's not just ridiculous leftist policy, it's a deliberate psychological warfare maneuver. When your kids are grown, will they have the courage (ala Robert E Lee, Stonewall, G. Washington - ya know, men they've never heard of) to fight back against oppression? Will they even know when they're being oppressed. I put it to you that our entire nation is under a form of control never before seen and most accept it, much less plan how to rid themselves of it.

P.S. We have too many teachers    psycho-behavioral therapists making too much money. Get a life people!

Our Next Biggest Problem, Our Elected Officials are Stupid

To follow up on the previous post, I would like to link to this World Net Daily article on a quiz that was given to over 2,000 participants. Of those participants, 164 said that they had held elected office of some form. Now they may have been dogcatchers and councilmen, but overall, they scored less than the general population. Take a look at the report here.
Twenty percent of the officials, reports Richard Brake in AOL News, thought that the ElectoralCollege was a school for "training those aspiring for higher political office."
"The fact that our elected representatives know even less about America's history and institutions than the typical citizen (who doesn't know much either) is troubling indeed," writes Brake, who is co-chairman of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute's National Civic Literacy Board, "but perhaps helps explain the lack of constitutional discipline often displayed by our political class at every level of our system.
The average overall score was 49% and for those who had held elected office it was 44%. Having taken the quiz myself, I can't possibly convey how sorry a performance this is. Halfway through the thing, I almost thought it was a joke because the questions were that easy. However, toward the end it got a little more sticky. I ended up scoring an 88%, mostly because I over-thought a few of those at the end.

Take the exam yourself and see if you, too, are smarter than a politician!

Growing Up 1870s: A Young Colonel House

You may be familiar with Colonel Edward M. House as the power behind the throne in the Wilson administration. Or you may know him from his collectivist novel, Philip Dru, Administrator. But before all that he was a child who grew up in post Civil War Texas. From The Underground History of American Education, comes the following excerpts:

In his memoirs, The Intimate Papers of Colonel House, we get a glimpse of elite American schooling in the 1870s. House’s early years were school-free. He grew up after the Civil War, near Houston, Texas:

My brother James, six years older than I, was the leader....We all had guns and pistols... there were no childish games excepting those connected with war. [House was nine at the time.] In the evening around the fireside there were told tales of daring deeds that we strove to emulate.... I cannot remember the time when I began to ride and to shoot.... I had many narrow escapes. Twice I came near killing one of my playmates in the reckless use of firearms. They were our toys and death our playmate.
And today the authorities freak out when a kid brings GI Joe's rifle to school with him.

At the age of fourteen House was sent to school in Virginia. The cruelty of the other boys made an indelible impression on his character, as you can sift from this account:
I made up my mind at the second attempt to haze me that I would not permit it. I not only had a pistol but a large knife, and with these I held the larger, rougher boys at bay. There was no limit to the lengths they would go in hazing those who would allow it. One form I recall was that of going through the pretense of hanging. They would tie a boy’s hands behind him and string him up by the neck over a limb until he grew purple in the face. None of it, however, fell to me. What was done to those who permitted it is almost beyond belief.
You think bullying is rough today? It just goes to show what happens when kids are segregated from their families, the worst in human traits are cultivated.

At the Hopkins Grammar School in New Haven at the age of seventeen, during the Hayes-Tilden campaign of 1876, House began to "hang around" political offices instead of "attending to studies." He came to be recognized and was given small privileges. When the election had to be ultimately settled by an Electoral Commission he was allowed to "slip in and out of hearings at will." House again:
All this was educational in its way, though not the education I was placed in Hopkins Grammar School to get, and it is no wonder that I lagged at the end of my class. I had no interest in desk tasks, but I read much and was learning in a larger and more interesting school.
House’s story was written over and over in the short, glorious history of American education before schooling took over. Young Americans were allowed close to the mechanism of things. This rough and tumble practice kept social class elastic and American achievement in every practical field superb.
True education is one instigated by the individual, not by an outside influence. When your child, or yourself, really become interested in something you don't need to be spoonfed to acquire the information you desire- you seek it out. The people at the very top of designing our education system know this as well as anyone; they're not stupid, as Charlotte Iserbyt has pointed out in her book, Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, isolating children from their families and communities has been by design. I highly suggest everyone check out her latest column found here.

A highlight :

Important and revealing excerpts from Conclusions and Recommendations for the Social Studies (a study funded by the Rockefeller Foundation in 1934 on how to socialize the United States through central planning. Remember that the next time some "conservative" tells you what great entrepreneurs the Rockefellers were.)
“The Commission was also driven to this broader conception of its task by the obvious fact that American civilization, in common with Western civilization, is passing through one of the great critical ages of history, is modifying its traditional faith in economic individualism [free enterprise], and is embarking upon vast experiments in social planning and control which call for large-scale cooperation on the part of the people…” (pp. 1-2)
“. . . Cumulative evidence supports the conclusion that in the United States and in other countries the age of ‘laissez faire’ in economy and government is closing and that a new age of collectivism is emerging.” (p. 16)

According to Charlotte, the central planners have made the public schools so awful that parents will clamor for school choice, which will be the Trojan Horse to implement a total Federalized curriculum that will administer attitudinal tests that will see if your kid has their "mind right'. They're going to use charter schools through corporate management to get these goals implemented. So if you're thinking yay! charter schools, investigate a little deeper. As always, homeschoolers should never, ever take any money or free computers/curriculum from the feds, as that's how they subvert a good thing.

This massive shift in education  is going under the name Reinventing Schools Coalition and will feature Outcome Based Education that conservatives claim to despise, yet no opposition from the mainline conservative groups. This is a doing away completely of academics and using Skinnerian techniques, from the man who bragged he could make a pigeon an honor roll student using nothing but conditioning aka Pavlov's dog, to get people's minds right. Check out her essay, The Death of Free Will which says it better than I could.

So we go from Colonel House who had all the benefits of America as free as she'd ever been, who decided to become a collectivist along the way, bringing us to a point where an unsupervised child is tantamount to child abuse. I wonder how he'd feel seeing what his legacy of central planning has wrought on the young people of America? Progressives such as he did not have the same heart as the Founders who always seemed to have their "posterity" on the mind. Even more disturbing is what a large percentage of parents don't care enough about their own kids living in their home currently to pass on values, much less thinking of their great-grandchildren. If more Christians would read and apply Pastor Baucham's book Family Driven Faith to their lives, we'd have a different country in short order.

A Halloween Story - Read by former Reagan Official

If you're trying to make sense of the scariness of our real world, listen to Charlotte Iserbyt read an account of the Reece Committee, which I've recently highlighted. Mrs. Iserbyt is an authority on the surreptitious hijacking of America's public education system. She names names and mentions specific documents. Mrs. Iserbyt is also notable as having the only known copy of the Reece Committee hearings. The powers that be bought up all of the other copies and had them destroyed. She now offers free downloads on her site, American Deception - so check it out if you're really curious about how your country was taken over and before the usurpers lock down the internet. (It is over 2000 pages broken up into three parts.)

Charlotte also discusses how socialism jumped the ocean and how the collapse of the Soviet Union isn't what you have been led to believe.

Sensitivity Training - Brainwashing our Common Sense Away

It's time for a filmstrip! Who wants to turn it? This little nugget of knowledge was made by G. Edward Griffin in 1969. This is a "vintage" explanation of mass psychology at work. You will learn about sensitivity training and how it is used to create a narcissistic society using Pavlovian conditioning techniques. The description of sensitivity training being so mentally tortuous reminded me of this interview by Charlotte Iserbyt describing the sensitivity training that teachers had to endure. You will also learn about the action-reaction dynamic wherein a problem is created and the elites rush in to solve the problem with a law. Eventually, you get to the point where you live in a police state. Considering that this was made 40 years ago, it truly is prophetic. The rapid moral decline of America over the last 50 years makes perfect since when you analyze who has been in charge of the media and educational system. Regular reader of this blog know who I'm talking about.

Back to School Videos

Remember, School is not Education.

From Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary:

EDUCA'TION, n. [L. educatio.] The bringing up, as of a child, instruction; formation of manners. Education comprehends all that series of instruction and discipline which is intended to enlighten the understanding, correct the temper, and form the manners and habits of youth, and fit them for usefulness in their future stations. To give children a good education in manners, arts and science, is important; to give them a religious education is indispensable; and an immense responsibility rests on parents and guardians who neglect these duties.

Our school system today is based on Soviet-style school to work programs. You hear over an over again how we need to "educate" kids for the ever changing workforce - in reality, training them to be widgets in a large machine. Kids are frustrated that they aren't learning the things in life that really matter: man's relationship to God, the true nature of humanity as recorded by history, the genius that every individual possesses at some level, etc.

Here's a brief run-down on the Prussian foundations of our education system:

Here's a substantial Gatto interview that lays it all out. Get out your notebooks and take notes!
Here Gatto takes on family disintegration, Pre-K, eugenics, Prussian history, the importance of imagination in innovation and wealth creation, the wearing down of traditional American education, Darwin's influence, Plato, Calvin, Spinoza, and how our American economy was transformed by Rockefeller and Carnegie.
Remember his tome, The Underground History of American Education, is available for free on my sidebar.

McGraw Hll, A Case Study

I have  a map that shows whose on the board at McGraw-Hill, the famous textbook company that writes many of our children's schoolbooks. I did not bother to include which campaign these executives and board members donated to because it would make the map less clear. I'll just say it was not uncommon for them to give to both Bush and Kerry, DNC and RNC, etc.

To explore this map further, click here. You might discover something new or have some special insight.

Pay special attention to the Council on Foreign Relations, The Carnegie Institute for Peace, the World Bank, etc. Also look for bailout banks like Citigroup (anything with cit on the front of it, is a Rockefeller bank). These are the people who are guiding the narrative in our classrooms. These are the people telling public school kids that they must be prepared to become global citizens, the earth is fragile, and you can talk your way out of conflict, etc. We often talk of indoctrination, I've just given you the names of the indoctrinators. Don't tell me they don't know what's going on in their books. I realize McGraw-HIll is a huge corporation, but if you're mass producing school-books that give only scant mention of George Washington and use fear to manipulate kids into believing the lies of radical environmentalism, they can't claim ignorance when they sit on the board and are knowingly wielding that much power over the youth of America.

How Far We Have Fallen

Check out this Constitution Test from 1954. It has 100 questions and was given in the eighth grade. If it were given today, most of the parents would howl that it's too hard and that they never had to do anything that hard when they were in school. It's like I said in a recent post, this stuff was deliberately scrubbed from the curriculum so slowly that nobody really noticed. If you want to see how much people were dumbed down in the 1950s from the turn of the century, you can always peruse the famous exit exam from 8th grade given in 1895 in Salina, Kansas, you know, one of those podunk towns where no one wears shoes or can write their names. (The establishment that gave us modern public schooling would have us believing such things.)

How often do you hear, "he never finished eighth grade" in as sympathetic way when referring to an ancestor or elderly person. It's probably because the eighth grade education of 60 years ago is superior to what many high school seniors are graduating with today.

Plans are underway to replace community, family, and church with propaganda, education, and mass media....the State shakes loose from Church, reaches out to School.... People are only little plastic lumps of human dough.

The Purpose of Government Education

Here is Brannon Howse schooling you on the humanistic government school system. He even tells us that our own dear Senator Lamar Alexander says the book"A God Within" by Rene Dobos greatly influenced his thinking. This book says we evolved from "Our Mother Earth". Lamar was the Secretary of Education under George HW Bush.

Reece Committee Findings Explain Current Political and Cultural Landscape

This is an excerpt from the Reece Committee of 1954 which investigated tax-exempt foundations, particularly the Rockefeller, Carnegie, and Ford Foundations. These groups were not required to pay income tax, and used their large fortunes to fund grants and programs. The following except is just a sampling - the tip of the iceberg. This rabbit hole goes down a long way!

(double-click to enlarge)

Is it no wonder that our educational system is Anti-American? It was designed to be that way.

Parts of this document are available from American Deception for free, other parts are behind a pay wall. If you can afford it, it would be well worth it to download before Lieberman and Jay Rockefeller scrub stuff like this off the internet.

(Sorry about the small print, just trying to get it all on there.)
