Although the women of the United States are confined within the narrow circle of domestic life, and their situation is, in some respects, one of extreme dependence, I have nowhere seen woman occupying a loftier position; and if I were asked... in which I have spoken of so many important things done by Americans, to what the singular prosperity and growing strength of that people ought mainly to be attributed, I should reply, To the superiority of their women.

Whoever Controls the Schools, Controls the World

Voddie Baucham makes it plain:

90% of Christians send their kids to public school.
3/4 of Christian children are out of church by the end of their senior year. Yes, they might come back later when they have kids, but is this the top of modern Christianity's bar?

When you send your kids to Caesar for their education, don't be surprised when they come back as Romans.

McCain Calls Rand, Cruz, Amash, etc. "Wacko Birds"

Check out my post that made front page of the Daily Paul this morning!

Using his considerable oratory skills, Senator John McCain (Globalist-AZ), continued to dis Rand and continue with his perception that the entire universe is a battlefield populated by dirty mundanes by calling him and his ilk, "wacko birds" who get all the attention.
Sources: that screwing the American people over is a family tradtion. Remember the USS Liberty, a ship sunk with help from Admiral McCain. Kind of a metaphor isn't it?
Source: I just got an idea: It would be really neat if someone could come up with a graphic of a bald eagle standing in front of a background of the Bill of rights with the caption beneath, Wacko Bird. That would be cool to blog, tweet and facebook around in response to these neocon fascist types. T-Shirts would be nice if this story gets legs and people would know what term is in reference to. I really need to start homeschooling, uh, now or I'd start working on it.

Check out the great comments.

Veteran Shot Dead for Not Giving Up Gun

Grandpa, veteran and gun enthusiast John Schaefer was shot dead by a policeman when he refused to hand over his gun on his own property. Reports the Statesman:

Schaefer called 911 about 7:20 a.m. to report that he had shot and killed a pit bull that attacked him, Police Chief Art Acevedo said at a news conference that morning.
Officers asked dispatchers to call Schaefer back and tell him to put his gun in the house before officers arrived. He refused, Acevedo said, and he refused again when officer Jonathan Whitted got to the residence and asked Schaefer to hand over the pistol he saw tucked in his waistband.
When Whitted went to take the gun, Schaefer pulled it out and aimed it at the officer, Acevedo said. Whitted then shot and killed Schaefer.

Neighbors, including one man who said he witnessed the incident, said they heard two shots.
Lt. Ely Reyes said Friday that it’s not unusual for an officer to separate an unknown person from a firearm when responding to a situation, even if that person is legally allowed to carry a weapon.
If officers pull over someone who has a concealed handgun license, for example, and learn that a gun is in the vehicle, they often ask the person to step outside to check for a weapon, he said.
But after hearing Acevedo’s explanation of what happened Friday, two neighbors questioned whether it was wrong for Schaefer to hold onto his gun on his own property.

Now some will say you should always do what the man in a uniform tells you to do that's just the way it is. But people like that are brainwashed statists who need a dose of Americanism. What ever happened to shoot to wound? Lesson learned here: don't call the police for something like a dead dog, or you might be on their menu.
