Although the women of the United States are confined within the narrow circle of domestic life, and their situation is, in some respects, one of extreme dependence, I have nowhere seen woman occupying a loftier position; and if I were asked... in which I have spoken of so many important things done by Americans, to what the singular prosperity and growing strength of that people ought mainly to be attributed, I should reply, To the superiority of their women.

Stay Safe Smitty

In case you haven't heard, Smitty-the hardest working blog sidekick in the whole sphere, will be deploying in the middle of November for Afghanistan. He says he'll be doing staff officer stuff with the Navy, read the details here, for his sake - please give this link a hit!

As a struggling blogger, Smitty has been kind enough to include my sporadic Rule 5 entries. The man is inhuman with how fast he throw up all those links. If making link-filled blog posts was an Olympic Sport, Smitty would win the gold! I really don't know how Stacy's going to manage, unless he starts one of his kids on an internship program.

So stay safe Smitty and thank you for your service. For those of us at home, let's follow Smitty's example of diligence in speaking out for the America our servicemen are supposed to be fighting for: one with sound money, just laws, "We the People, not We the Establishment", etc.
