True Halloween Attraction - The Georgia Guidestones

Now the ol' mom shall tell you a tale of how a shadowing figure rode down to Georgia one day. It was June 1979 and a man calling himself R.C. Christian strolled into Elberton Granite Finishing in Elberton, Georgia. He explained that he represented a group of Americans who wanted to erect a massive stone monument nearby and if Elberton Granite would furnish the granite. Mr. Christian explained that the monument would serve as compass, clock, and astronomical guide. Mr. Fendly, the owner of the granite compnay, clearly thought he had an escaped asylum patient and tried to discourage him by quoting an astronomical price. Mr. Christian made it clear that price was no issue and asked how long before it would be done. To make a long story short, there in a massive granite monument in podunk Georgia. Go to Wired magazine here for the in depth details. What makes this thing so scare is that it is inscribed with the following in several different languages:

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

Some have called these the Antichrist's 10 Commandments, which makes complete sense to me. Let's go through them to illustrate how these precepts would be the Antichrist's talking points during his brief reign on earth.

The first two points have to with the fact that Satan hates humanity almost as much as he hates God. We're made in His image and have the opportunity to reign with Him for eternity. Satan amuses himself by destroying us at various phases, in the womb, at war, etc. He really, really doesn't like human beings as we remind him of the One who cast him out. Guiding production wisely is a description of eugenics, which was the cause of the holocaust, the abortion movement, and ultimately the well-functioning family.

The third point takes us back to the Tower of Babel. The devil was totally behind that one as well. When all of mankind is untied around a goal, you can bet it's going to be an evil one as God will not allow this to happen unless it is under His Headship. That time has not arrived yet.

The fourth point will have to do with what the definition of reason is in the Antichrist's new age. We've all seen the term "hate speech" make its debut these last few years, and all but the most naive can see how it can become twisted to suppress all speech.  This point has to do with relativism that is constantly being redefined to the benefit of the rulers.

The fifth point dovetails with the fourth, as to what the definition of "fair" is. If those in charge determine what is fair and not an absolute authority such as God and His Word, the meaning will drift to favor those defining it. Again, we see relativism on display.

The sixth points says don't bother the Antichrist and his central government with the little things, he doesn't have a lot of time here. I'm sure there will be in every nation, his representative to make sure his edicts are followed. Don't like it? Well you can head your petty behind to your local detainment camp.

The seventh point is the killing of the useless idiots. Everything will be simpler when you don't have any rights to quibble about. I guess this is where all the lawyers will be designated as useless eaters.

The eighth point implies that you'll have personal rights, but the devil is a liar. When he says balance your rights with social duties, he means your base belong to him. You see, he owns the balance and it is most definitely fixed in his favor. Get to work slaves!

The ninth point speaks to the devil's vanity. He liked being called an "angel of light". He wants to be worshiped more than anything.

The tenth point is more eugenics and more eliminating those ugly things made in His image. What- you say God created the earth - no He didn't. The devil will have no talk like that, especially not in school. (He hates to be reminded that there are things beyond his capability.)

So the the non-discerning person, many of these points might sound alright. But to those who have studied the person of Satan, we can clearly see how he thinks and how he twists words.  Everyday we live here brings one day closer to that day when the Lord Jesus will be handed the scroll that no one but He is worthy to open. (The scroll is the title deed to the earth.) He will break the seven seals in order, releasing the tribulation horrors. Recall that while in the wilderness, Satan tempted Jesus with world domination. and Jesus did not dispute Satan's right to do so, as God allows him to be the earth's landlord. But God is sovereign, and on the day that He alone knows, will give his Son complete ownership of our world and the rest will be history.
