Breastfed is Best: 1917 Remarks

This is an interesting excerpt from a nearly 100 year old textbook, The Home and Its Managment by Mabel Hyde Kitteredge. I find the statistics between breastfed and bottlefed babies. The formula would be perscribed at "milk stations" where the baby would be weighed and the mixture of milk, barley water, etc would be given.

These are a few of the reasons given by the Board of Health in New York City on the subject" Why a Mother should nurse her Baby."

1. One death out of every five which occur at all ages is that of a baby under one year of age, and the greatest number of these deaths is among bottle-fed babies.
2. In the city of New York during 1912, 3392 babies under one year of age died from bowel trouble, and nine out of every ten of these babies were bottle-fed.
3. Mother's milk is the only safe food for a baby during the first six months of its life.
4. Cow's milk or prepared food can never equal breast milk as the proper food for the baby.
5. Breast fed babies rarely have bowel trouble. Bottlefed babies rarely escape it, particularly during warm weather.
6. Babies fed on breast milk show the best development; the teeth will appear at the proper time; the muscles and bones will be stronger, and walking will not be delayed.
7. A breast-fed baby is not so likely to have bronchitis or croup, and if attacked by any disease, has a much better chance of living than a bottle-fed baby.
8. Pneumonia in babies is fatal more often in bottlefed babies than in breast-fed babies.

So then, from this we conclude that it was a well-known fact that breast-fed babies had superior health to their bottle-fed counterparts. When did all this change so that it was seen as freakish to naturally feed a baby?

from stuff falling from above, but one St. Louis family found out that they would have needed respirators to protect them from the US Government:

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Doris Spates was a baby when her father died inexplicably in 1955. She has watched four siblings die of cancer, and she survived cervical cancer.

After learning that the Army conducted secret chemical testing in her impoverished St. Louis neighborhood at the height of the Cold War, she wonders if her own government is to blame.

In the mid-1950s, and again a decade later, the Army used motorized blowers atop a low-income housing high-rise, at schools and from the backs of station wagons to send a potentially dangerous compound into the already-hazy air in predominantly black areas of St. Louis.

Local officials were told at the time that the government was testing a smoke screen that could shield St. Louis from aerial observation in case the Russians attacked.

But in 1994, the government said the tests were part of a biological weapons program and St. Louis was chosen because it bore some resemblance to Russian cities that the U.S. might attack. The material being sprayed was zinc cadmium sulfide, a fine fluorescent powder.

Remind me how morally superior American's are? Recall that after the Nuremberug Trial, many of the mad scientists got a pass and came over to the good ol' USA under Operation Paperclip. But those of us studying the links between Nazi Germany and American corporations wouldn't be shocked by that at all.

They really do want you dead. They've already got your money, they's posed to take what's left of your property, they've whittled down your "rights" to formalities, and soon they won't even need your productivity thanks to robots. The mass of humanity is obsolete in their worldview, which is a very old one. This is IT when the Bible says that if God did not cut those days short, no flesh would survive. These nuts are in for a real reality check when the Son of God really does come down their and slays them by just opening His mouth. That's my happy place, anyway.

Amber Lyons: All American Hero

Finally, a journalist that calls out her employer on skewing the news. Amber is an Emmy-award winning journalist formerly of CNN. She went to Bahrain March of 2011 to shoot a documentary and found out about how phony all the "revolutions" over there are. According to the Guardian:

In the segment, Lyon interviewed activists as they explicitly described their torture at the hands of government forces, while family members recounted their relatives’ abrupt disappearances. She spoke with government officials justifying the imprisonment of activists. And the segment featured harrowing video footage of regime forces shooting unarmed demonstrators, along with the mass arrests of peaceful protesters. In sum, the early 2011 CNN segment on Bahrain presented one of the starkest reports to date of the brutal repression embraced by the US-backed regime.

Despite these accolades, and despite the dangers their own journalists and their sources endured to produce it, CNN International (CNNi) never broadcast the documentary. Even in the face of numerous inquiries and complaints from their own employees inside CNN, it continued to refuse to broadcast the program or even provide any explanation for the decision. To date, this documentary has never aired on CNNi.

Your Lying Government

The best piece I've read in a long time by the straightest of straight shooters,  Vox Day at WND.

For years, the media and all right-thinking individuals have ridiculed the Americans who don’t believe the official story that Saudi hijackers armed with box cutters brought down three buildings in New York, deriding them as “truthers.” Since 2008, the media and all right-thinking individuals have ridiculed the Americans who don’t believe the official story that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii to married parents, deriding them as “birthers.”

What, then, shall we call the Americans who don’t believe the official story that the Libyan assault on the American consulate in Benghazi, which killed four Americans, including the American ambassador to Libya, was the direct consequence of a YouTube film produced by an immigrant scam artist? Shall we call them “filmers"?

He goes on to point out that if you keep believing a liar, you are a total moron. The government has lied repeatedly through the decades, and just like a sociopath derided anyone who pointed out the lies. The whole motivation people like me have for writing blogs like this is inform as many people as possible before the sociopath does the government equivalent of shooting you in the head and stuffing you in a trunk (drone strike) or taking you off to the remote cabing (detention camp).
