Although the women of the United States are confined within the narrow circle of domestic life, and their situation is, in some respects, one of extreme dependence, I have nowhere seen woman occupying a loftier position; and if I were asked... in which I have spoken of so many important things done by Americans, to what the singular prosperity and growing strength of that people ought mainly to be attributed, I should reply, To the superiority of their women.

1975 Reagan Speech Speaks

Is Ronald Reagan speaking to us liberty-minded people today? This speech sure sounds like it.

It was shortly after this, that only a handful of Congressmen, including Dr. Paul, threw their support to Reagan, amongst a lot of belittling from the MSM.

Man, I don't know what happened with all those ideas. Makes you think that getting shot was a signal or something, but that's a whole other post...

  1. You know,a lot of so called conservatives love to tell us how much they loved Reagan, but the one candidate who is the most like him,Ron Paul, they despise and call a kook.Makes you wonder how much they really knew him in the first place.

    1. Yes, the neocons have been very successful taking the "Reagan brand" and building themselves an idol around it - putting words and policies in his mouth that weren't ever really there, implying that it's "Ronald Reagan approved". Then, when they want to gain trust, they go back to these 1970s speeches where he sounds just like Ron Paul, the man they said can never get elected. When they say that, that means your very, very electable but they won't let it happen.
