Although the women of the United States are confined within the narrow circle of domestic life, and their situation is, in some respects, one of extreme dependence, I have nowhere seen woman occupying a loftier position; and if I were asked... in which I have spoken of so many important things done by Americans, to what the singular prosperity and growing strength of that people ought mainly to be attributed, I should reply, To the superiority of their women.

So I've Been Busy....

. . . with this:

This is Number 5 (Elise) born April 4th. She was 8 lbs. 10 ozs., an all-time record for me. Her next up big brother (2yo) can't help but notice there is someone in his special spot (the crook of my arm), but he has grown up a lot during the last month to make room for this next one. My 5 yo is still playing his video games - typical male. The big sisters are waiting for turns to hold her.

So far, she is a model baby and seems to have a very patient nature. I am feeling very blessed!

  4. Thanks for the congratulations, ya'll! She is a really good baby, still. Staying awake more in the day, though. We're getting transferred, so I'm getting my house ready to sell in the worst housing market ever. Fun, fun. Oh, and the stomach virus has come to visit. Blogging to stay awake at this point.
